Let Me Understand Your Language is named after a famous Chinese song that tells of a young man who travels to Xishuangbanna and falls in love with a local lady, but has trouble communicating due to their different languages. Xu Hao Ning (Roy Chiu) lives in Shanghai. When he goes on a trip to Xishuangbanna, he not only falls in love with Yu Bo (Kira Lu), a young woman from the local Dai ethnic group, but also with the Dai culture and way of life. He decides to move there and work for the protection of the rain forest and the animals. However, loving a woman from a different culture turns out to not be easy at all. Will Hao Ning and Yu Bo be able to withstand all challenges that come their way?
The drama will revolve around the romance between young white-collar worker Lin Qian (Zhao Li Ying) and former military officer turned CEO Li Zhicheng (Jin Han). Lin Qian has the brains and the enthusiasm, but has been unsuccessful in all her ventures so far. Li Zhicheng’s family business is on the verge of bankruptcy, and he returns to the corporate world in an effort to reverse the situation. Lin Qian ends up helping Li Zhicheng revive the company, and they fall in love with each other in the process.
