The continuation of the first season is set in the modern world. The overbearing CEO Lin Ye (Chen Bo Lin) is a young and promising scientist who founded his own company to research a new energy that can save the world from pollution and disaster. Female reporter Tong Feng (Jing Tian) becomes acquainted with Lin Ye after interviewing him. After a series of misunderstandings, the two grow attached to each other and join hands in the fight to protect the environment. But an old friend of Lin Ye appears and plans to steal his research results.

Song Yun Hui (Wang Kai) is a smart lad who was often discriminated against due to his background (his father worked as a doctor for the Kuomintang), but took advantage of the reinstitution of the university entrance exams. He spearheaded village projects from setting up electricity to building factories, but is often set back by his short-sightedness and impulses. From roaming the streets to sell bread to running a successful private company, Yang Xun (Dong Zi Jian) had to fight tooth and nail to where he is. The rapid growth of science and technology eventually allowed him to become part of China’s first group of successful entrepreneurs. However, even as he’s reached the upper echelons of society, Yang Xun still plays by street rules, causing major rifts between him and his business partner.

[Finished Airing] The Story of Ming Lan

Set in the Northern Song dynasty, the story revolves around Sheng Ming Lan (Zhao Li Ying), the unfavoured sixth daughter of an official. After being mistreated by her legal mother and bullied by her half-sisters, Ming Lan learns to hide her skills and true intentions, and ultimately succeeds in avenging her biological mother’s death. She meets Gu Ting Ye (Feng Shao Feng), who initially dislikes her but after witnessing her wits and intelligence, decides to help her. They eventually fall in love with each other. After Gu Ting Ye becomes a powerful official, he successfully makes Ming Lan his wife. As his wife, Ming Lan helps guard against his unpleasant relatives and purges the court of corrupt ministers.

[Finished Airing] Untouchable Lovers

Tianji Tower, the leading organisation of the pugilistic world is determined to overthrow Liu Zi Ye, the tyrannical ruler of the Liu Song dynasty. Somehow they accidentally lose their memories, and only meet five years later when Chu Yu is sent to marry Northern Wei’s Prince regent, who is none other than the now amnesiac Rong Zhi.
