Bookworm Su Nian Nian (Xing Fei), who every day only thought about getting into one of China’s top universites, gets into a car accident together with another student, Gu Zi Chen (Niu Jun Feng), and misses one of her college entrance exams. As a result, she ends up at a local technical university. Nian Nian despises both her university and her classmates, among whom is also the rebellious rich heir Zi Chen, but takes comfort in the hope that she’ll soon be able to transfer to a better university.
