National Treasure’s Extraordinary Journey is labeled as the second season of the highly popular 2016 drama “Impossible Mission”. The drama tells of real happenings after the “Mukden Incident” on September 18, 1931. Due to the Japanese invasion in the North, Kuomintang officer Ren Hong Yi (Liu Ye), curator and conservator Zhou Ruo Si (Yuan Shan Shan), who works at the Palace Museum, and others take the treasures from the Forbidden City and travel to the South on a mission to protect China’s cultural roots. “As long as the cultural roots are there, China won’t die.”
Old Boy revolves around Wu Zheng (Liu Ye), a pilot with a high-flying job and enviable good looks. He is more than capable of taking responsibility for the lives of countless passengers but outside of work, he is tameless and free spirited and basically a child at heart. His son named Xiao Han (Hu Xian Xu) turns up out of the blue followed by teacher Lin Xiao Ou (Ariel Lin) who’s more than eager to help out. Needless to say, their arrival shakes up the life of a jet setter especially since Pilot and Teacher had met once before, when they were abroad, and it wasn’t pretty.
