Crime Crackdown is based on real cases. In order to hinder police officer Li Chen Yang (Sun Hong Lei)’s investigations, his superior frames him, which causes Chen Yang to end up in prison. Nonetheless, Chen Yang never loses his will to investigate the truth. After being released, he joins forces with officers Lin Hao (Lay Zhang) and He Yong (Liu Yi Jun), and together they bring down two criminal gangs who have been ruling the underworld in the city for over ten years. At the same time, they also expose corrupt officials who have been protecting those gangs.
