After Japan and Korea, China will be the next country to make the popular manga “Nodame Cantabile” into a drama. Due to a childhood trauma, piano talent Li Zhen Yi (Steven Zhang) is unable to go study abroad. When he meets the weird but extraordinary piano student Fang Xiao Wo (Lin Yun) as well as famous conductor Mitch, Zhen Yi finally starts pursuing his dream of becoming a conductor.
The two friends Zhang Ruo Chen (Zhao Zhi Wei) and Cheng Zhe Hai (Xu Yang) have a common dream: They want to become part of the national swimming team. In the national swimming championship they end up competing against each other. During the 200 Freestyle, however, Zhe Hai suddenly falls back and thus has no chance of standing on the awards platform anymore. Moreover, he disappears without any word after the match. Ruo Chen is angry for he believes that Zhe Hai let him win on purpose. Two years later, the two former friends unexpectedly meet again at the same sports school, but Ruo Chen is very cold while Zhe Hai seems to have lost any interest in swimming.

When Xiao Bai Cheng (Liu Mei Han) almost falls down the stairs, her senior Shi Jing (Li He) catches her. She immediately falls for him and makes pursuing him her goal during her university time. In order to get him, she asks her childhood friend Hu Li Shan (Kong Chui Nan) for help. But what she doesn’t know is that Li Shan is actually in love with her and seizes this chance to get her attention instead of really helping her with Shi Jing.
