The director of the regulatory commission of the development zone in Dongjiang Yuan Xing Ye commits suicide by jumping off the roof, causing a huge uproar. Prosecutor Jian Jie is in charge of investigating the circumstances of his death, but encounters heavy resistance. Not long after, even more strange things happen, his future father-in-law, Lawyer Mei Dong Sheng suddenly disappears and becomes the suspect of a murder case. In the blink of an eye, Jian Jie and his fiancée Mei Xiao Yue’s lifes has become chaotic.
