Despite the insane popularity of bbjx and Tong Hua’s subsequent dramas,I’ve never been a fan. Her lead is always a young girl with a harem of male admirers. Tong Hua herself looks as if she could be 40 years old. Having a dozen Mary Sue works is weird for a 40 year old. Her period novels have a lot of period details that are charming. But if you’re not into those things, that there’s not much to read. Her “Stay With Me” screenplay was really awful. It was done with comparably poor acting and dubbing to boot. It didn’t help either some of Tong Hua adaptations’ lead actresses had been Angelababy, Tang Yan, and one of Joe Chen’s poorer performances.
There had been too many Mary Sue authors. I hope authors with more cerebral book contents will be as famous as these Mary Sue novelists some day.

If I got to admit if I’ve got a idol, it got to be you, Ms Tong Hua
Some time ago, I’ve completed reading the heart wrenching Lost You Forever and then went to finish it’s English translation. Then I found out about the drama “The starry night The starry Sea”. I was confused by the other drama that has an almost similar title except with a “II”. So since The Starry night The Starry Sea II is a period drama, I supposed it might be the prequel of the modern version,,,,,anyway, after watching half-way, I don’t think Ms Tong Hua wrote this. However, I like whoever reading here and have read Lost You Forever, to go watch it, because i feel that the 3 male stars there can fill in the 3 male casts of Lost You Forever. Sunny Wang Yang Ming can be cast as ZhuangXu, Bosco Wong can be Xiang Liu and Feng Shao Feng, William fits Tu Shan Jing totally.
Anyone knows if Tong Hua will finish or even started writing Sorrow Relieving Tune?
