Let’s go to the next round! Which Chinese actress’ child photo is this?
If you think you know who it is, post it here! After one week, the right answer as well as the winner (whoever posted the right answer first) will be announced together with the next picture.

Last week’s photos were Yang Mi! Congrats to Liesette for winning this round! 🙂

Here are some more pictures of this week’s little cutie:

Lol, I think this post is misleading. That’s Gulnazar in the first pic. The second pic is Dilraba’s. The girl in the last pic.. looks more like Gulnazar.

I checked again and you’re right, it’s indeed Gülnezer Bextiyar in the first and the last picture. It seems like I fell into the trap of an article mixing pictures of these two. I’m sorry for the confusion and thank you for pointing that out!

I don’t, but you can check out the ratings section to see which dramas have been well received this year. Or else just tell me which genre you like and I’ll try to recommend you something 🙂

        • therainhouse says:

I watch most genres and periods.. Not really interested in dramas set in 1900-1990s period.
          I can unsubbed dramas.

The one 1920s-1930s drama I kinda liked was Demon Girl Season 1.

Modern dramas I’ve liked: My Little Princess, Love O2O, Because of Meeting You, Ode to Joy, Whirlwind Girl (hated the ending though!), Diamond Lover, Du La La’s Promotion, Shan Shan Likes to Eat/Boss & I, The Fox’s Summer, The Legend of Dragon Pearl (also what was up with that ending!?)
Loved Pretty Li Hui Zhen this year..

Historical dramas: Bu Bu Jing Xin, Legend of Zhen Huan, Huan Zhu Ge Ge 1 & 2, Butterfly Lovers, Three Kingdoms, Lu Zhen: Female PM, Sound of the Desert, The Imperial Doctress, Chef Fang, Perfect Couple.
PA (still kinda mad about that ending..Any news about a season 2?)

Wuxia: LOCH most adaptations.. ROCH.. (except for 2014).. Heaven Sword & Dragon Sabre, other Jin Yong dramas, Xiao Shiyi Lang, Classic of Mountains and Seas, the Xuan Yuan Jian series.

Fantasy/Sci-Fi/: Qing Qing Hu Chuan Shuo, The Eternal Love, Go Princess Go..

Currently watching: Les Interpretes and Nirvana in Fire

Wil probably try: Shake It, ET! and The Advisor’s Alliance, Legend of Chusen, Love Me If You Dare, Fighter of the Destiny

I’ve been like so disappointed by 3 dramas this year which looked great from the trailers or in the first half.. but their endings were just.. urgh

I tried The Four, Wuxin: The Monster Killer, The Lost Tomb, and Lost Love in Times a week ago but couldn’t get past the first episodes for these dramas. Sometimes I torture myself by sticking with dramas I don’t like.. namely Love & Life & Lie and Master Devil, Do Not Kiss Me..

Am considering giving When a Snail Falls in Love a second chance…. because Wang Kai-Wang Zi Wen pairing was magical. Did you watch that?

        • cdramaaddict says:

Yes, I watched When A Snail Falls In Love and I liked it a lot. You should definitely give it a second try 🙂 But out of the Ding Mo novel adaptations, I liked Love Me If You Dare best, it’s among my favorites.

As to Princess Agents 2, it seems like this is only a rumor, no official announcement has been made so far.

          To give you some recommendations:
          Modern dramas:
I’m currently watching The First Half of My Life and enjoying it a lot. The acting is excellent! If you like slow paced slice-of-life dramas and aren’t triggered by infidelity, you might want to give it a try 🙂

I also watched and liked Across the Ocean to See You this year. The romance of the OTP was so cute! But towards the end, it got less interesting sadly (like so often with Cdramas).

And have you seen Back In Time yet? It’s a short web drama from 2014 and depicts young love in a very realistic way. I can’t recommend it enough!

          Historical:
Maybe you could try The Princess Weiyoung. The chemistry between the OTP is really good (probably because they’re dating in real life, lol).

          Xianxia:
Prince of Lan Ling is quite good. Ariel Lin is so lovely 🙂

You should also watch The Journey of Flower if you haven’t yet. It’s one of the most successful Chinese dramas of all times!

        • therainhouse says:

Prince of Lan Ling.. watched halfway then got distracted by other dramas and then just decided not to continue hahaha..

Yea, I’ve heard good things about The First Half of My Life… but my allowance for angst is just….. I’ve exceeded it. Need happy ever afters..

Across the Ocean to See You – this sounds cool.

The Princess Weiyoung – I do like their chemistry and wanted to try all the dramas they starred in together. Does it have a HEA?

Back in Time – I’ll try the 1st ep and see.

TJOF – yea this is also on my long-term to-watch list

        • cdramaaddict says:

The Princess Weiyoung – Tbh I don’t know, I haven’t finished it yet. I always end up not finishing dramas due to lack of time, no matter how good they are.
